The Miami Hispanic Cultural Arts Center, the only one of its kind in South Florida, under the General Direction of Pedro Pablo Pena is pleased to announce the most important event of this year, the unveiling of the sculpture "Balance" created and donated by Cuban Artist Pedro Avila Gendis, which will be the emblematic work of the Center. The sculpture,
manufactured in Polychrome Aluminum of 7' x 6.5' feet valued at $ 70,000 sponsored by Mr. Julio V. Diaz, will be on permanent display in the gardens of the historic building JW Warner House headquarters of the Center located at 111 SW 5th Ave. Miami Fl. 33130
The event will be held on Friday, December 16 at 7:00 pm and will be unveiled by City of Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado and Miami Dade County Commissioner Bruno Barreiro, followed by a cocktail reception.
Artist Pedro Avila Gendis has stated that his motivation to create and donate this sculpture is to collaborate with his art to the cultural work that Miami Hispanic Cultural Arts Center offers to our city. The name of the sculpture "Balance" "the balance that exists between the different manifestations of art and above all as perpetuity between the Ballet and the Dance".
